Michael Mizrachi learned the game poker at an early age. He has a mother, a wife and brothers who are into playing poker. He was largely influenced by his brother Robert who is also a professional poker player.

Born in January 5, 1981, in Miami Florida, Michael Mizrachi is one popular player widely known as the Grinder, or Michael "the Grinder" Mizrachi. He first wanted to become a medical doctor but decided not to when he found his passion in playing poker. From there, he dropped out of college to pursue playing poker full time. He has a twin brother named Eric, his older brother Robert and his youngest brother Daniel. His brothers are known as his very close ally when playing poker which always supports him in all his tournaments. He is married to Aidiliy, also a poker player known as Miss Grinder and has a son and a daughter. At first, it was his brother Robert who is very fond of playing poker online. It was also his brother that shared his interest to Michael in playing poker. From here, he first played his poker tournament in poker online and later on in different face to face poker games at various poker circuits.

In 2005, he was able to win his very first big win. He placed fifth place in the Tunica's World Poker Open in January. He managed to win in this tournament due to his consistent playing styles and adaptability in playing with various professional players. Later that year, he managed to win more than a million dollars for winning in the LA Poker Classic tournament. This was just the beginning of his professional career as he was able to finish at high rankings in different poker games. He grabbed the top spot in the Borgata Winter Open and placed 11th in the overall World Poker tournament.

Michael Mizrachi gives credit to his online poker experience as his ultimate first poker guide. He acknowledges that poker online gave him the advantage over his many counterparts for he was able to easily formulate strategies to win the game. Michael's wife is also a poker player where she managed to place second in a world poker tournament Ladies Night. She gained instant popularity not only because of her husband but also because of her flawless techniques in playing poker.
